How to compress a video file using Handbrake
Learn how to use Handbrake to compress your video files.
Video files greater than 4GB will not be accepted. If you record a video for your site that is larger than 4GB you will need to compress the file. We recommend downloading Handbrake to do this:
- Download Handbrake here.
- Click Open Source and choose a file to bring into Handbrake.
- Set the Format to MP4.
- Set the Dimensions.
- Make sure the Video Encoder is set to H.264.
- Choose the Destination (Usually desktop so the file is easy to find after compression).
- Click Start:
